These data are part of the Allen Coral Atlas data collection, a comprehensive global coral reef monitoring initiative that leverages high-resolution satellite imagery and advanced analytics to support conservation and marine spatial planning.

This Reef Extent dataset at 5-meter resolution combines geomorphic zones, machine learning-based coral reef habitat detection, and additional processing to provide an inclusive representation of reef areas, including deeper structures and turbid water regions while excluding very deep and highly turbid areas.
