The Allen Coral Atlas is a global-scale coral reef habitat mapping project using Planet Dove 3.7m resolution daily satellite imagery, wave models, and ecological data to create consistent global coral reef habitat maps supporting science and conservation.

The Allen Coral Atlas collection consists of four complementary datasets:

Reef Extent – Provides the overall boundary of reef environments visible from satellites.
Geomorphic Zones – Maps the physical structure of reefs (slopes, crests, flats, etc.).
Benthic Habitats – Characterizes the seafloor cover types (coral/algae, sand, rubble, etc.).
Mapped Regions – Defines the geographic boundaries that have been analyzed.
