Varda's Global Field ID is a universal identifier system designed to assign unique, persistent IDs to individual agricultural fields across the globe.
It is developed to enhance data interoperability in agriculture, and the Global Field ID links disparate datasets—such as crop type, yield, and input usage—by providing a common geospatial reference framework.
Each field is defined spatially and associated with a globally consistent ID, allowing stakeholders across the agri-food chain to share, compare, and aggregate field-level data regardless of system or geography.
Varda’s Global Field ID is accessible via API and integrates with platforms used in agricultural monitoring, land-use planning, and environmental reporting.
